Description

A French Model 1886 Lebel rifle bayonet featuring a cruciform blade and a white metal handle. The piece includes its original steel scabbard. The crossguard displays a hooked quillon and a muzzle ring. The blade shows significant oxidation and pitting consistent with age, while the scabbard retains much of its dark finish. This 'Rosalie' style bayonet was a standard infantry sidearm during the First World War.
