Description
A German Eastern Front Medal, also known as the 'Frozen Meat Medal'. The circular zinc medal features a central eagle clutching a swastika, surmounted by a steel helmet and stick grenade. The reverse typically bears the inscription 'Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42'. It is suspended from its original red, white, and black ribbon. Shows age-related patina and oxidation consistent with period use.
