Description
A bronze six-pointed star campaign medal awarded for service in World War II. The obverse features the royal cypher of King George VI, 'GRI VI', surmounted by a crown within a circular band inscribed 'THE 1939-1945 STAR'. The medal is suspended from its original tri-color silk ribbon with equal stripes of dark blue, red, and light blue, representing the Royal Navy, Army, and Royal Air Force.
