Horace L. Setser, 97, passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2011. Service: 3 p.m. Friday in Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Entombment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth.
Horace was born Oct. 13, 1913, in Alvord to Ernest and Nettie Setser. After he graduated from high school, he enlisted in the military, serving in both the Marines and Army and retired in 1957. He married Neva Sash and they started a long life together. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors: Wife of 40 years, Neva Setser; children, Gary A. Setser and wife, Donna, and Ron Cooper and wife, Jeanie; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
