Description

A Soviet commemorative brass medal issued in 1975 to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany. The obverse features the 'Motherland Calls' monument by Yevgeny Vuchetich against a background of fireworks and stars, flanked by a five-pointed star and laurel branches. The dates 1945-1975 are embossed to the left. It is suspended from a pentagonal mount covered with a silk moiré ribbon of red, orange, and black stripes.
