A rare mid-20th century brass Depth & Roll Recorder, Type H.G.4, Mark 3, manufactured by Barr & Stroud Ltd. The cylindrical brass instrument features engraved technical specifications and serial number 566. Housed in its original fitted oak transport case with green felt lining and internal compartments for accessories. The case features dovetail joints and brass hardware. An exceptional example of naval or maritime scientific instrumentation.
