Description
A German Iron Cross First Class (Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse) dated 1939. This example features a multi-piece construction with a magnetic iron core and silvered frame. The reverse is fitted with a vertical pin back and C-hook catch. The pin is stamped with the LDO maker mark '26', identifying the manufacturer as B.H. Mayer of Pforzheim. The obverse displays a central swastika and the institution date at the base.
