A German War Merit Cross (Kriegsverdienstkreuz) 2nd Class without swords. This bronze-finished award features a central swastika within an oak leaf wreath on a pebbled Maltese cross. The reverse is dated 1939. It is suspended from its original red, white, and black striped ribbon. The medal shows a natural aged patina and minor surface wear consistent with age.
