A bronze-toned commemorative lapel pin issued for the foundation stone laying of the Volkswagen factory in May 1938. The design features a KdF-Wagen (early Beetle) in profile, set against a DAF cogwheel emblem containing a swastika. The base is embossed with the German text 'Grundsteinlegung des Volkswagenwerkes Mai 1938'. This historical artifact marks the official commencement of the Fallersleben plant construction.
