Rare Greek United Nations Medal. Features 35mm wide circular bronze medal with claw and ribbon bar suspension; the face with a map of the world within a laurel wreath; the reverse inscribed ‘ΔΙ’ ΥΠΗΡΕΣΙΑΣ ΠΡΟΣ ΠΡΟΑΠΙΣΙΝ ΤΩΝ ΑΡΧΩΝ ΤΟΥ ΚΑΤΑΣΤΑΤΙΚΟΥ ΧΑΡΤΟΥ ΤΩΝ ΗΝΩΜΕΝΩΝ ΕΘΝΩΝ’ (For Service in Defence of the Principles of the Charter of the United Nations); on original ribbon mounted for wear with ‘ΚΟΡΕΑ’ (Korea) bar. The Greek contingent numbered 1,263 men and the medal is thus rare.
