A United States half dollar coin minted in 1964, featuring the left-facing profile of President John F. Kennedy on the obverse. Designed by Gilroy Roberts, the coin includes the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the date. Struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, this first-year issue represents the only year the Kennedy half dollar was produced for circulation with this high silver content.
