A vintage East German commemorative pin issued in 1958 for the Buchenwald Memorial. The shield-shaped badge features a central triangular field with the text 'BUCHENWALD 1958' over a red translucent enamel ground. The design is flanked by various national flags of former concentration camp prisoners and topped with a depiction of the Buchenwald bell tower and eternal flame. Constructed from metal with multi-colored enamel detailing.
